Von der Idee bis zur Ausgründung

D — Die interdisziplinäre Forschung im Bereich Logistik und Informatik ist ein
fruchtbares Feld für innovative Produktideen im Zeitalter von Big Data. 2009 initiierten Prof. Thomas
Bousonville und Prof. Teresa Melo am Institut für Supply Chain und Operations Management (ISCOM)
die Forschungsprojekte „RouteOnline“ und „DynaServ“. Gemeinsam mit den Praxispartnern
J.S. Logistcs, Kirkel, und Unternehmensberatung Konrad Schneider in Braunschweig wurden inno-
vative Softwaredienste zur Unterstützung von Fuhrpark-Disponenten konzipiert und realisiert. Die
Grundidee war, (online) verfügbare Daten aus heterogenen Systemen zu sammeln, semantisch zu in-
tegrieren und in aufbereiteter Form den Endanwendern zur Verfügung zu stellen, um eine effizientere
Nutzung vorhandener Ressourcen zu ermöglichen. Die entstandenen Softwarekomponenten werden
nach Abschluss des Projektes im Rahmen einer Ausgründung (www.qivalon.de) weiterentwickelt und
vermarktet.

F — La recherche interdisciplinaire dans les domaines Logistique et Informatique
constitue un terrain fertile en idées-produit innovantes à l‘ère du Big Data. En 2009, Thomas Bouson-
ville et Teresa Melo, tous deux professeurs à l‘Institut de Supply Chain und Operations Management
(ISCOM), ont lancé les projets de recherche « RouteOnline » et « DynaServ ». Conjointement à des
partenaires issus de la pratique, J.S. Logistics à Kirkel et la société-conseil d‘entreprises Konrad
Schneider à Brunswick, des programmes de service innovants ont été conçus et réalisés pour aider
les dispatcheurs de parcs véhicules. L‘idée de base était la suivante : recueillir les données disponibles
(en ligne) provenant de systèmes hétérogènes, les intégrer sémantiquement et les placer sous une
forme traitée à la disposition des utilisateurs en fin de chaîne afin d‘utiliser plus efficacement les
ressources existantes. Le perfectionnement des modules logiciels ainsi créés se poursuivra au-delà
de la fin du projet, dans le cadre d‘une fondation d‘entreprise (www.qivalon.de), et ils seront commer-
cialisés.

E — In the age of Big Data, interdisciplinary research in logistics and informatics is
a fertile field for innovative product ideas. In 2009, Prof. Thomas Bousonville and Prof. Teresa Melo
from the Institute for Supply Chain and Operations Management (ISCOM) initiated the „RouteOnline“
and „DynaServ“ research projects. Together with the practice partners J.S. Logistics, in Kirkel, and
management consultant Konrad Schneider, in Braunschweig, innovative software services for sup-
porting vehicle fleet managers were designed and implemented. The underlying idea was to collect
available (online) data from heterogeneous systems, semantically integrate them and make the pro-
cessed data available to end users in order to facilitate the efficient utilisation of existing resources.
The thus created software components will be further developed and marketed by a spin-off
(www.qivalon.de) once the project is complete.
