D — Sicherheit, Umweltfreundlichkeit und Stauvermeidung – so lauten zentrale
Forderungen der mobilen Gesellschaft. Die Vernetzung von Fahrzeugen untereinander und mit der
Verkehrsinfrastruktur – die sogenannte Vehicle2X-Kommunikation – wird den Verkehr der Zukunft
sicherer und flüssiger machen. Der umfassende Austausch bedarfsgerechter Informationen zur
Verkehrssituation oder die unmittelbare Warnung vor Gefahrenstellen wird in einigen Jahren zur
komfortablen und sicheren Mobilität gehören. In der am 1. August 2012 gestarteten Forschungsini-
tiative CONVERGE (COmmunication Network VEhicle Road Global Extension) entwickeln insgesamt
14 Partner aus der Automobilindustrie, der Elektronik-, Telekommunikations- und Softwarebran-
che, der Wissenschaft sowie ein Straßenbetreiber einen Car2X-Systemverbund, der alle Beteiligten
zuständigkeits- und systemübergreifend vernetzt. Die Laufzeit des Projekts ist bis Oktober 2015
angesetzt.
F — Sécurité, respect de l‘environnement et évitement des bouchons, telles sont les
exigences capitales de la société mobile. Le maillage des véhicules entre eux et avec l‘infrastructure
de transport, encore appelée « communication Vehicle2X » rendra la circulation future plus sûre et la
fluidifiera. L‘échange complet et adapté aux besoins d‘informations sur l‘état du trafic, ou l‘annonce
immédiate de zones dangereuses, fera dans quelques années partie d‘une mobilité à la fois con-
fortable et sûre. Dans le cadre de CONVERGE (COmmunication Network VEhicule Road Global
Extension), l‘initiative de recherche lancée le 1er août 2012, au total 14 partenaires en provenance
de l‘industrie automobile, des secteurs de l‘électronique, des télécommunications et programmes in-
formatiques, du monde scientifique ainsi qu‘un exploitant de réseau routier développent un système
composite, Car2X, qui réunit en réseau toutes les parties prenantes, toutes compétences et systèmes
confondus. Ce projet est prévu pour durer jusqu‘en octobre 2015.
E — Safety, environmentally friendly and avoiding traffic jams – these are some of the
central demands of the mobile society. Vehicle networking with other vehicles and with the transport
infrastructure – known as Vehicle2X communications – will make the traffic of the future safer and
more fluid. In a few years the comprehensive exchange of needs-driven information on the traffic
situation or instantaneous warnings about hazards will form an integral component of comfortable
and safe mobility. In the CONVERGE (COmmunication Network VEhicle Road Global Extension)
research initiative that started on 1 August 2012, a total of 14 partners from the automotive industry,
electronics, telecommunications and software sectors, science and a highways operator are develop-
ing a unified Car2X Systems Network, which connects all participants across areas of responsibility
and systems. The project is set to run until October 2015.
